International Code Council members are central to our mission, inspiring us to enhance resources and deliver exceptional customer experiences. In 2024, we welcomed new chapters and members, offered new resources like an online member community and members-only library. We hosted our first ICC Leadership Week, providing new opportunities for networking and professional growth. We also expanded our training and credentialing programs, added new PRONTO in-person test centers and celebrated 78 newly-credentialed Master Code Professionals. Here’s a look at how we supported our members and customers in 2024.
Released a new suite of member benefits: online member community, member transcript, members-only library, single-sign-on access to job board, State of the Industry Report survey.
Hosted the inaugural Tribal Codes Summit with the Native American Code Officials (NACO) to support tribal nations in exercising their sovereignty by leveraging model codes to meet their safety and resilience goals.
Launched series of quarterly webinars to help chapters take advantage of benefits specific to chapters including the Chapter Rewards Program.
Improved redemption process for Chapter Education Benefit.
Code Council staff supported or attended 650+ chapter meetings.
Developed Chapter Leadership Advocacy Guide.
The Code Council introduced this state-of-the-art member benefit to help building safety professionals connect and network with other members, streamline communication and collaboration, create and share events, and more.
Successfully supported the adoption of ICC/MBI Standards 1200 and 1205 for off-site construction in Virginia, Utah, Montana, Rhode Island and Colorado.
Former Code Council Board President Cindy Davis testified on behalf of ICC before the U.S. House Subcommittee on Emergency Management on Federal Emergency Management Agency’s mitigation programs and codes’ effectiveness.
Signed an updated MOU with FEMA administrator.
The Code Council generated a first ever Codes Plus Up effort within Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC); awarded $50M+ across more than 130 applications from 42 state/territories; the Code Council directly supported 4 in 10 applications
Increased candidate choice by adding new in-person test center option, available at 500+ locations.
44,750+ PRONTO examinations administered.
2024 certification examination suite launched for a total of 182 certification exams currently offered to our members and customers.
Expanded When Disaster Strikes course offerings to include a multi-day Disaster Planning Institute.
Technical Training Program (TTP) upgrades included fully interactive online modules, digitized completion certificates and expanded coverage with digital publications.
Received reaccreditation by IACET through 2029, ensuring quality in continuing education and training.
